Harem Sneak …
INSPIRATION…
” Between the high, gathered waist, slouchy cut, and cropped leg, there’s a lot going on with these super-hot harem-style pants—and at first glance, they definitely seem tricky. But that’s the beauty of them: They’re unique enough that you don’t need anything else to look chic. You’re the girl rocking those cool pants in a roomful of boot-cut denim and overly thought-out accessories! That’s a very cool thing to be. Here’s the best part: They’re actually very flattering. The pegged leg (paired with a high heel—always) makes you seem all coltish and long-limbed. The important thing is to let them be the star of the outfit. ”

IMITATION….
I was not quite comfortable with this trend last season, but this time around I have built up enough courage to give it a go! Surprisingly, the pants are much easier to wear than they look…I say give them a try! Step outside your comfort zone… you might be pleasantly surprised.
Until the next post… toodles!

So I have to say that the way you wear them with “worn next to the bare skin blazer” AND subtly/slightly exposed belly button tend to decline their nonchalant Appeal on such a Sensuous mode, very “70’s Femme Fatale” !!!!

I feel so ‘meh’ about harem pants… lol
I don’t know how it looks in the back (for the model) but I can only imagine your bum would look like it was sagging terribly. And the dropped-crotch coupled with the loose, voluminous thighs doesn’t really make legs look long. Or longer. I think this is one of those fads that people will look back at a decade or so from now, and say… “What were we/they thinking?!”
My personal opinion, but I think you do a good job with the look.
Well done, Marta!

Oh dear, I meant ‘your’ bum as in general… not *yours*, Marta!! *blush* Sorry!! I had to clarify!

Hi Cordelia,
Hahaha… I think that the bum-effect depends on the structure of the pants. Some can be quite flattering

Hi, Marta, I have been following your blog and Liv by Aulit site for a long time now. I love your posts, especially the ones in you blog. I was a little bit confused with the harlem trousers but I gave them a try a few months ago and all that I can say is that they are fabulous – comfortable and stylish. Have a good day, Maria
