Five years ago on Valentine’s Day, when I was pregnant with Jessie, my husband Mig cooked me a spectacular Valentine’s Day dinner. He made beef Bourgignon and cream of cauliflower soup. Why is that noteworthy? Well, it was the first, last and only meal he’s ever cooked for me! (Don’t feel too sorry for me…he does plenty of other stuff and, truth be told, I enjoy cooking!)
But this year, Mig has agreed to cook me another feast on Feb 14th. Why now, after five years? Because it’s our new tradition: he is going to cook for me on Valentine’s Day…but only if I’m pregnant!
You may have noticed, if you follow this blog, that my entries have become pretty sporadic. You may also remember that I mentioned a couple of months ago that I had been working on a big project that was consuming alot of my energy and that I would reveal this mysterious project on Groundhog’s day. I’m a week or two behind in the announcement, but here it is folks: We’re having a baby! I’m 13 weeks along, which means we’re due in August. I’ve been sick as a DOG for the past two months…which is why I’ve been neglecting the blog, among other things.
For those of you who know me, you know this has been a long time coming! We’ve been trying to give Jessie a little sibling for almost four years! But thanks to our little vacation in Denver last November, it’s finally happening. I wish I could tell you it was the fresh mountain air, but truthfully, it was the world’s best (in our opinion) fertilty clinic.
So that’s my big news! I’m excited to share it with you. And there is so much cool stuff coming up on the horizon for LIV! An AG denim event, the launch of our spring collections, a one year anniversary bash…Stay tuned!
